Renata is a kind-hearted and intelligent young woman who finds love in Jeronimo. The two meet by chance and fall in love immediately, without knowing they are closely linked by their past. Josefina is a deceitful woman who abducted Renata when she was a baby to profit from her inheritance and provide for her own daughter, Roberta.
